She's Got A Kid

Time will tell ya cuz I got to say goodbye.  
I didn't know she had a kid.
See, I'm driftin' and I need that clear blue sky, 
and all the gold that nature hid.
I'm on my weary way.  She's got a kid and I can't stay.

I'm a loner, spending days upon my horse.  
At night my sky fills up with stars.
I need to ride, but feel a deep remorse.  
I'll write it down in my memoirs.

I rode back in to town.   She met me at her door.  
Told me I had it wrong;  I didn't know the score.
She told her friends about childish things I did.
The rumors spread about her sexy kid.  Me!

Now not ridin' in the hills in search of gold. 
My lonely thoughts wander home. 
No more driftin'.  Time to put the gold on hold.  
Me and my horse no longer roam.
Now everyone can see she's got a kid and it's me.
She's now my pot of gold.  She's got a kid, and it's me.
