Don't Tell The Judge I Lied

When they came to tell me they're gonna take me in

I somehow had the sense to flush the evidence

before they could begin.

They had me dead to rights right there in my own place.

I told 'em of my plights with the smile on my face.

I looked at them and cried, "Don't tell the judge I lied."

While I was in prison pondering my fate

I told my cellmate stuff to make me sound more rough,

and stopped myself too late.

He said he had my back. I saw through that excuse.

I knew how he would act to have his time reduced.

I said, "I'll have you fried. Don't tell the judge I lied."

Trial date is set and I'm nervous. Will the truth be told?

Some say I am going to prison and return when I'm old.

The bailiff shouted, "All rise!" I heard my stomach wrench.

There, much to my surprise, I couldn't believe my eyes.

My dad sat on the bench.

My dad, he knew my moves since back when I's a kid.

My case I knew I'd lose cuz he'd know what I did.

It cannot be denied. The judge is gonna know I lied.
