This is an original, first recorded in 1991ish with a cool slide by Brian Tonart who helped write it. It was published by Mello-Dee-O-Dough-Music. It is here redone with Band in a Box, Reaper and Cakewalk. I did bass and vocal and a lil midi. Dave Bell of Blue Attitude played the solo guitar.

Rainin'
Rainin'. Can't go out and play. It's rainin'. Rainin' night and day.
Through my window I can see the thunder light.
I know (Do you know?) how long
and hard it rained that night.
You left me standin' in the rain.
Your love swept me into this pit of pain.
Can you tell me so maybe I could understand
why did you tell me that I would always be your man.
I hear the pitter pattter of the raindrops fallin' down from the sky.
They remind me of the footsteps on the sidewalk,
and the tears falling from my eyes.
Oh, can't you hear it rainin'? SOLO
Still it's rainin'. Can't believe you're gone.
It's rainin'. Rainin' from now on.
Can you hear it drowning out the inside pain?
I can't bare it. I see your face when I hear rain.
Oh, babe, it's rainin' rainin' rainin' raininsince you went away.
Rainin' every day. Can't go out and play.
You left it rainin'.
